Many thanks for all your comments and faves on this, everyone. I've now added another image in a note and, by peering very closely at that, I've found it was built by Clayton and Shuttleworth in somewhere about 1900. I've even found a link to a video of one working>www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emc22Qou7qE
