Soggy Swamphen

Soggy Swamphen
One our local Purple Swamphens, wandering around in the rain. They seem to have a good awareness of the road.

I think you have a bird called the Moorhen, which is quite similar. As I noted, these seem to have fairly good road-sense, they often wander around near roads but I've never heard of one being hit. :)

o0o yes we do indeed George and they are relatively tame so to say ... when we feed
them at Baddesley Clinton they don't run away ;-) is it the food or are they a bit silly ;-)
I don't know but they make plenty of noise ;-) oOo
