the arcades are c13, the clerestory and many windows c14. the font is late c14, the font cover is of 1630 by john turner. the doors on the far left lead to the parish armoury over the porch

although the brick north aisle of 1532 is used as a lumber store, full of chairs and gardening machinery, this church is one of the most interesting in the area. the box pews have gone, but elaborate screens of mid c17 design remain, with glass and monuments

the font looks like it may date from after the fire of 1653. behind on the west wall of the church, next to the remains of the c12 arcade is the roman carving of the goddess fortuna.
