hickling church, norfolk

hickling church, norfolk
a cross from its earlier use as an altar slab appears amongst all manner of graffiti on the lid of this c16 wodehouse chest tomb, the earliest dated 1627. the hands and feet drawn around may have belonged to children from their size, so perhaps a school was held in this corner of the church
