st.peter's church, vauxhall, london

st.peter's church, vauxhall, london
the church was built in 1863-4 by pearson on the site of vauxhall gardens, the altar replacing the neptune fountain. the tower designed for the other side of the church was never completed, the vicarage to the right was the c18 house of the manager of the pleasure gardens, given a little gothic christian dignity with a gabled top floor.
