the royal arms of edward 6, 1547-53, and the only set from his reign. in fact, bar the arms of henry 8 at rushbrooke , the provenance of which appears to be the romantic antiquarian colonel rushbrooke, these arms in westerham appear to be the oldest set of royal arms put in a church to proclaim the supremacy of the crown.
