Spo has replied to Gabriella Siglinde clubI'm so happy you brought this one out (from 2014) for us to see. I really struggle with having to convert digital photos to b&w. I probably just need to do it more, but I continue to be irritated that I even have to do a conversion. I grew up with b&w film... Your contrast and detail retainment is very professional and artistic (but you already knew that).
And now you see that I have a group 'L’instant décisif — Henri Cartier-Bresson' - and I would love to have this photo of your there - if you want.
Spo has replied to raingirl clubYou don't neccessarily need to convert pictures, do you? You just switch on jpeg and b&w mode in your camera, and off you go! Of course if you really, really want to concentrate on the hues and all that ilk, then you need to go raw and do the conversion, but even if you do, it is a LOT easier than developing film and printing the paper copies in the darkroom.
The only unfavorable thing about digital photography is that nothing prevents you from taking a gazillion photos each and every day. THEN it gets tedious no matter what you do with them.
raingirl club has replied to Spooh i so wish i could see Neowise. i don't have the right vantage point, the horizon is always obscured from our area - too many hills (not a thing i usually complain about).
i always take photos in raw when i can. and i don't like the digital camera's b&w conversion anyway. but i think printing in the darkroom is way easier than the digital workflow of processing my photos! but like i said, i grew up doing it.

My eye is a bit hungry for a bit more on the upper half of the photo though.
I promise it won't distract from the walking subject in the middle because it is so strong.
Spo has replied to Mimolette VieilleMimolette Vieille has replied to SpoIt might emphasize the walker with the backlight.
I wouldn't add a superman with shopping bags. Perhaps a ufo trying to beam up the walker..?
Nah! just kidding.

Nun ja, im meinen Wohnort hatte das mit der exakten Beschilderung vor Jahren auch nur auf Privatgelände geklappt:

Nun ja, folgende Beschilderung ist vorbildlich:
