The Denny D1 Hovercraft was an experimental hovercraft built by William Denny and Brothers Ltd, generally referred to as Denny. The Denny yard was situated near the junction of the River Clyde and the River Leven, but the yard was on the Leven. Quoted from the Secret Scotland website

Now this is a very interesting first Joe. One that I remember and I think I am right in saying that the Isle of Wight Hovercraft service is the last remaining commercial hovercraft service in the world. I love watching it when I visit Portsmouth.
