Anstruther Fisheries Museum
In a spectacular location opposite the harbour in the fishing village of Anstruther, in the East Neuk of Fife, we are a National Museum, telling the story of the Scottish fishing industry, its boats, harbours and communities. Scottish Fisheries Museum website.

Many years ago I picked up an old paperback Scottish fish cookery book. I bought it really for the photographs in it. They depicted the life of these women very well. An excellent series from the Museum Joe. All the best, Rosa.

It's a lovely museum, Rosa. We enjoyed our visit here. I will post more pics soon. I have a book of the photographs of David Octavius Hill and Robert Admason, that has a great photo of the fish wives of St Andrews. I know the scene well, and it looks completely different today, although the staircase from which they took the photo is still there. Thanks for your great comment. Cheers, Joe

I went to read the history in wiki and it seems it changed a lot in the last years. From fishing village to turistic place and even a golf place.

This is the best place in Scotland to eat fish and chips, Dany. If you want play golf, you should go to Amelia's hometown, St Andrews. Thanks for your very kind comment. All the best, Joe
