Dumbarton Castle at the Confluence of the River Leven and the River Clyde

Dumbarton Castle at the Confluence of the River Leven and the River Clyde
Dumbarton Castle sits at the confluence of the river [Leven] with the Clyde. The Leven is a relatively short river but is widely claimed to be the second fastest flowing river in Scotland, after the River Spey. Quoted from Wikipedia.

I love this b/w treatment, as it makes this picture require you to depend on light and shadow to see the forms. Quite the impressive sight, and I also enjoyed reading about this place and the rivers it sits before. Thanks for sharing, Joe!

I agree with Janet, the light and shadow on the water looks as impressive as the rock itself. The background is pleasantly misty showing the different shades of the hills. A very good shot Joe. cheers, Rosa.

I had one of my tripods out with me today, Rosa. I was doing a four-minute exposure using ND grads and the 'bulb' setting in the manual mode of my wee camera. I look forward to seeing your photos when you start using your tripod. No pressure! LOL. Cheers, Joe
