Testing 'digital macro mode' on Lumix TZ60. Plenty of 'wrinkle remove' had to be done on PicMonkey, because the output is pretty noisy at least in dim light. But it has a great potential for some interesting and funny shots.

It made me smile. Is it less fuzzy if you use more light?

Thanks H C =)

Actually it is probably more a problem of using a "digital zoom" in general, not as much the lack of light. Reading through the following Wikipedia article explains the problem in details:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_zoom

In short, the computer algorithm on camera has problem especially when trying to "interpolate" pixels on almost evenly colored surfaces with no details. In other words, the algorithm works well on edges.
