Piece of cake...
....or challenge too difficult. This is especially my contribution for The Sunday Challenge: Selective Color. I think it is good to have difficult challenges, and this really was one.
The most difficult part was to find a good subject for this technique. The reason why some color or colors become pointed out in the picture should somehow be obvious especially for someone who sees the picture. I don't know if that is the case here, so please give feedback.
I also had a personal challenge, to tone also the monochromatic background into something else than just black and white. I did that on GIMP, which very likely was not the best way to do this. I first had to remove all other colors but red and green on one layer. Then I had to use area selection a lot to desaturate all other parts on that layer. Then I toned another copy of the image on a different layer into blue. Finally I combined the layers using "Hue layer mode".
But surely I learned a lot of new tricks =D
