Pine Man Of Tokoroa.
Tokoroa is a timber town – the heart of New Zealand’s massive forestry, timber and paper industries. It sits between the lush farmland of the Waikato and the vast plantation pine forests of the central North Island. Visitors can follow the ‘talking poles’ trail through the town center to learn about Tokoroa’s history and people.
Tokoroa is one of the most recent towns in New Zealand history. The township was established (circa) 1917. It was developed as a residential satellite for Kinleith Mill workers (New Zealand Forest Products Limited's integrated timber, pulp and paper mill) in 1948. The mill is approximately 8 km south of the township. The pine man symbolises the history of the town.

Happy Sunday!
I remember the endless plantation forests but have never been through Tokoroa.
