Crane and Bridge
"Swing" unit of Alfred A. Cunningham Bridge in New Bern, North Carolina, scheduled to be floated away that day to make way for new bridge construction. Spectators were gathered in the neighboring park with binoculars and cameras, but no visible progress was made. The city newspaper (Sun Journal) reported that some folks waited hours for a sign of movement!
