Regensburg Karyatide Reflex
This picture shows the reflection of a piece of art called "Karyatide" by the sculptor Fritz Koenig (1924–2017). It was put in front of the main entrance of Regensburg University (founded in 1967 - 50 years ago). Fritz Koenig was born in Landshut, in the vicinity of Regensburg.
He became famous outside the world of art in 2001, because his sculpture "The Sphere" placed between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan survived miraculously the attacks of 9/11 and was then reerected in Liberty Park.
