Remarkable features of the section Amalienburg are the turret with a Welsh bonnet and the astronomical clock on the façade. In the centre of the courtyard "In der Burg" of the Viennese Hofburg, between the Amalienburg and the Schweizertor (Swiss Gate), is this monument to Emperor Franz I of Austria by Pompeo Marchesi from 1842 to 1846.
