Under attack from the Lily beetle (Lilioceris lilii),

Would need a lot of them to fill a roll Fred and they don't normally look very appetising covered in their black excretion!

Looks like it has fed well on them Roger. Hope you've got rid of it!

This was only one of a very large number, unfortunately; they had quite quickly decimated the plants, so it was a case of burning them off and cutting back what was left of the Lillies. Could have used soapy water, but a bit late for the plants.
