She had a long life, longer than any pet we've had. 18 years she lived, ornery at first, mellowing with time, sweet at the end. Picture taken about two months before her death.

Virginia bluebells aren't always blue. Sometimes they're pink, as in this image, sometimes purple, or lavender, or shades in between. I understand some even bloom in white, but I haven't seen any of those.

Quite a few bees have alighted and feasted on our redbud tree's blossoms in the last couple of days. Nice to see.
