I find it particularly beautiful and harmonious that the handrail of the fence runs exactly at the waterline

Lovely views of dear old Swanage Rosa. As a child, I used to be a regular visitor as we lived between Wool and Wareham.
Two of my brothers went to the boys grammar in the late fifties, travelling by train from Wareham. Our father's cousin was a driver on the line and, in the days before the safety elves arrived, they might have sneaked a ride or two on the footplate!

Yes, I thought that Nouchet. I walked behind the houses and it looked like they have an underground car park. I'm sure they weren't there the last time I visited! It must be longer ago than I realise!

Two very nicely composed images Rosa................the main one has a beautiful view over the water to the distant houses and clock tower. The sunlight is gorgeous and I like the blue sky and cloud formations. The ornate railings on the pier make a perfect foreground.

The image of the clock tower is just fantastic and the cliffs make a lovely background. The boats fill up an empty space in the frame very well.

I found the link both interesting and humorous.........I love the idea of London landmarks etc., being removed and "up cycled" to enhance the architecture of Swanage :-))

It rained for 5 minutes as we arrived in Swanage, but then cleared up for the rest of the visit.
The railings are very decorative. I only knew the history of the clock tower today, when I looked it up. Very interesting isn't it :-)

Wow... two splendid photos, Rosa!
The PiP is majestic and its depth is fascinating, really.
On the main one the pretty white village rests on this beautiful balustrade and the combination with the vegetation produces a delightful effect.
