A Rose (2 PiPs)

A Rose (2 PiPs)
The excessive heat has put paid to a lot of flowers in the garden. The pink hydrangea is completely dried up, but the roses are coping well.

The roses pictured are from the same bush. They start off a vibrant orange colour and as they age they turn a delicate lemon colour with a hint of pink.
Please see PiPs.

How beautiful, a lovely series! I love flowers that change colour over time, they are so fascinating to watch. The 2nd PiP shows the colour change very well.

Good morning Rosalyn a beautiful rose, I have Masquerade that goes from a pale yellow to red unfortunately is a bad one for blackspot . I will be quite pleased when it's October and every thing can be cut down in the hope of better things next year . I hope you have a pleasant Sunday I assume you won't be in the garden !!!

Good afternoon Peter, I will have to look Masquerade up. It sounds lovely. I know how you feel and although I don't like wishing time away, October can't come quick enough! I'm definitely not in the garden today. It is clouding over now, which is good to see. Thank you for your kind comments and wish you a good new week.

They certainly are Nouchet. They are holding up well in the heat. Unfortunately no rain yet, but hopefully tomorrow....my finger's are crossed!! I dream of 20°c ;-)) I hope my dream comes true!

Sunday greetings and I hope you have a great new week.

A gorgeous collection of roses.............all with beautiful colours and lovely detail. I hadn't realised you cold get roses with different colours all on the same bush!

I like all the images.......but my favourite has to be the first PiP, which is stunning!

My front garden is not too bad..........it's only small and completely gravelled over and we have a dozen or so pots there which are easy to water daily. Very little is flowering in the back garden, even the buddliea have nearly died. The gladioli are still hanging in there, but not for long I suspect. Rain is possible on Wednesday............but not much and not everyone will get some!

Have a good evening Rosa..........and hopefully a cooler week!

Thank you Keith. They start off orange and slowly turn to the delicate colour of the main picture. I got it from a charity shop for 50p, as a dying twig, four years ago, not expecting it to live, but thankfully it did :-))

My buddleia is not doing well either. I was hoping it would rain tomorrow....I hope we all get some by Wednesday! I see there was a big fire on the Studland peninsula! Some idiot with a disposable BBQ!

I hope you also have a good evening Keith and definitely a cooler new week!!

That was a good buy..........and you must have really green fingers Rosa :-)

Yeah, some rain would be brilliant............but cooler would be good as well.

I saw the fire on the news............it's difficult to believe how stupid people can be!

The budding flowers on my yellow rose bush also start out a beautiful orange but the yellow wins out before their blooming unlike yours, Rosa.
Your 3 shots are lovely, the 3rd one being a pure delight where I couldn't imagine seeing the same rose at 2 different ages!
They deserved to be presented at the WPD where I don't see a photo of you my friend (but you still have 8 days to participate - if you want to, of course ;)
