Good morning Rosalyn, although not as flamboyant as many country houses still very impressive i think you are correct about the green boxes often the statues are of fairly soft stone, I hope the camellias don't get frosted. A nasty wet morning I hope yours is a little brighter enjoy your day

It's a very popular place with lots of parkland and woods around the house, so some nice walks. About the same weather here today Peter.

I think the house looks wonderful in the sunshine.............the stonework really glows! Viewed large the detail is very impressive and it's much more ornate than you think at first glance.

The two PIPs are gorgeous..............and the flowers seem pretty well advanced this early in the year. A fantastic series Rosa.

I'm holding on to my hat as instructed...........it's currently very windy and we've had quite a lot of rain so far :-(

It certainly does look impressive from the driveway Keith, and the interior is even more impressive. I didn't enter the house this time....my walking boots were very dirty :-)

The end of March and April will be a good time to return for the Camellia Trail. The snowdrops were absolutely gorgeous, more than any photo of mine to tell.

Not so much wind here today, but quite wet! Sounds like you need to hold on to your hat for a few days yet!! Take care Keith.
