Showing the Bristol High Cross and cottages. The Bristol High Cross C15, early C16 and 1633. Originally in 3 segments, it stood at the street crossing in the centre of mediaeval Bristol. It was taken down and removed to College Green in 1736, but dismantled in 1762, and was moved to Stourhead by Henry Hoare in 1765 to place in his developing gardens. This is just the top segment and it underwent restoration in 1894 and 1981. and stands at the entrance to the gardens in Stourton.

In your second photo, I love the textures in the architectural feature. The framing by the vegetation is very effective.
The wee robin on the bench looks magnificent. I was at Dumbarton Fairy Trail yesterday, with the lady, who adds the decorations, and the wee robin that resides there gave us a nice song, and posed long enough for me to take a pic.
Cheers,
Joe
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Joe, Son of the Rock clubI love the robin's song Joe and I look forward to seeing your picture.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Andy Rodker clubI like the images in the PiPs - especially the robin, which is just delightful.
I'm guessing there will be more to come from Stourhead (I hope)!
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton clubI am pleased you like the PiP's and there just might be a few more pictures to come ;-))
And as always some nice information...
The main picture is so beautiful and you have done an interesting frame adding the service vehicle there.
Also I like the third picture very much too. The robin on the bench looks so pretty!
Best wishes

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to gezginruh clubThe groundsmen and women were working hard around the estate.
The robin was very sweet and I think, quite used to people.
Best wishes,
Rosa.

Some people find enough there to spend the day looking around and some just walk around the lake. I love to spend all the time I can there.
Take care and have a good weekend,
Rosa.
