Doomed!

Doomed!
We do like to be beside the seaside, whatever the weather!! It did improve slightly, a little later though! Lyme Regis, Dorset.

Like the difference between the silver light of the harbour and the dark threatening clouds.

Thank you Malik. In the summer it is golden sands, but lots of children building sand castles even in this weather ;-))
Wish you a good day.

Super shots Rosa, especially the main one. The contrast between the dark clouds and the silvery water of the harbour is wonderful. I also like all those 'Lowry' like figures on the beach and harbour walls.

We were in a little shop Doug, and when I turned in the doorway, suddenly it was so dark! It didn't last too long though. Thank you for your kind comments, especially the one, as I am such a fan of his paintings. Enjoy the rest of the week ~ Rosa.

What amazing light...............completely unexpected given that grey, foreboding sky. I love the silvery reflections on the water. The British never cease to amaze me - no matter what the weather they can always be found at the beach, thoroughly enjoying themselves. I love this shot Rosa.

I also the tiny silhouetted figures on the Cobb and the cluster of seagulls by the buildings on the far left. Like Doug I also see a resemblance to a Lowry painting.

I also like the image in the PiP, especially the silhouetted figures.

Looks like you'll be doing Dr Doolittle another time :-) I hope you had a good day out :-)

I thought you might like to see my fave image of the Brits at the beach: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/19693495/in/album/377515

It came across very dark for a few moments Keith and I was very taken with the silvery water. I think it's bred into us to visit the seaside, whatever the weather....Sophie and I even had an ice-cream! At least it didn't melt!!

I am very happy with your Lowry comment as I love his paintings. I count myself very lucky to have missed out on Dr Doolittle Keith, as Sophie's mum is taking her today ;-))

Thank you for the link - I absolutely love it. LoL!!!

Lovely shots Rosa - the light is wonderful - that magical time just before a storm breaks. I am surprised at the number of people there on the beach. I guess they aren't too far away from cover though.

It didn't actually rain, much to my surprise...the darkness suddenly cleared. Being half-term, there were lots of children playing on the beach, well wrapped up and hats on! I have to admit Sophie and I had an ice-cream....well you have to don't you ;-))
Thank you for your kind comments.
