It does look like that Pat. It is a small cottage on the Stourhead estate.

a very effective image of what I presume is a diorama in this old cottage.

Real cottage and people George. A welcome place to stop and warm up on a winter's day. I didn't have a drink this time but the fire was warming, even with the door open.

A lovely glimpse into the welcoming interior, was it built as a cottage or a folly ? I hope you are having a good day Rosalyn, after some early sun the rain has arrived :(( going to visit someone in a care home this afternoon it's getting hard work now

It may once have been a cottage but was altered in 1806 to fit in with the landscape. It serves walkers very well nowadays. I hope your visit goes well today. Back to normal for me, picking Sophie up from school.

Terug naar de Middeleeuwen daar lijkt het op toen ik ze het eerst zag---een juweel van een framing -ook de diepte verhoogt het effect...MOOI ROSA!!

Hi Peter,

I am pleased you like this shot and yes, it is a welcome break on a walk around the estate...no snow yet though. I would love that for maybe a couple of days.

Best wishes, Rosa.

As long as the 'hot' drink is mulled wine I'm all for it!! Really fine composition and framing of the interior scene Rosa, nicely done.

Thank you so much Fabio. I have to admit, I cannot pass this little cottage by without looking inside, and the winter months give the best views.
