A wonderful collection Rosa. I particularly like the main image............those pink flowers are really dainty and beautiful. You've captured them in perfect detail and made them really stand out from the background.

The little postbox looks as if it's on it last legs............but it's still very photogenic. I'll be surprised if it's not commandeered as a nest-box before long.

I'm not sure what the delicate blue flowers are in the third image are (speedwell?), but they're really lovely and again you've captured them beautifully.

Love the little "Well Bottom Cottage" sign!

I am not very good at naming small wild flowers. I know the forget-me-not but Pam tells me that the pink one is a corncockle and yes the blue ones are speedwell. They all look so pretty along the roadside.

Yes, the postbox is in need of some TLC....strange how things like that make good pictures!!

Thank you so much for your kind comments on all pictures Keith.

A nice collection of roadside images Rosalyn, a very cold wind used to be called an idle or lazy wind, it was to idle to go round it went straight through you. Some years ago the lady on the next allotment planted for-get-nots along the dividing path we had thousands the next year, she did apologise

It's a good name for it Peter. Yes forget-me-not's can become a bit of a problem! I think the plants will like the rain today....even if we don't ;-)

Lovely spring flowers, Rosa. Are the wee blue ones slender speedwell? If they are, I will be well chuffed, as I am rubbish at identifying flowers. Cheers, Joe

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Joe, Son of the Rock club
They are speedwell Joe but on looking them up I think they are germander speedwell. I think you should be chuffed! Many thanks for your kind comment. Cheers, Rosa.

All photos are very lovely and idyllic! I'm pretty sure the pink one is Geranium robertianum (herb-Robert), it starts flowering in April.

Hi Rosa,

Beautiful flowers, and nice colours.
I like the sign in the lowest picture.. I have a map at home of all the places with 'bawdy' names.. (eg Rotten Bottom....etc). Maybe a collection to be started!

Best wishes
Peter

Hi Peter,

I passed through a village near Bere Regis in Dorset a few weeks ago and it was called Shitterton and there was a house called Pooh Corner! I say passed through....my daughter actually made me stop and she took a picture of me next to the sign....I expect the people in the house nearby thought, oh here we go, not another one!! Dorset has many 'bawdy' village names!

Best wishes, Rosa.
