Our Queen's Norfolk retreat since 1862. The PiP's show native greylag geese with their young and rhododendrons around the lake. All set in 240 hectares.

It was a really good break Peter, thank you. Good food, good weather and nice people :-) I don't know Derbyshire very well, even though one of my sons-in-law comes from there. I will look Lea Gardens up and maybe a future trip. Thanks for your kind comments.

Hi Peter,

We were very lucky with the weather. It always helps! The colours of late spring were amazing and there were so many daisy paths and I can't believe I didn't take a picture of them!! Sometimes I guess it's just best to live the moment!

Thank you so much Gudrun. We spent 5 days in Norfolk and were very lucky to have such good weather. The iris' in my garden did not flower at all this year! It must have been something to do with the long hard winter.
