What I really used to like Andy, and we don't get them these days, was the really bright, frosty mornings when there where particles falling in the air like glitter! I remember the last time I was out on a day like that and it was at the turn of this century!

Seemingly gone for good like frosted window panes. Even though we had no central heating when I was a kid, it was almost worth it for the beauty of the ice on the windows! (...almost ...)

Thank you Amelia. I found this one in a really poor state behind some big, ugly bushes when we first bought this place 17 years ago, so moved it to a much better position, thinking it would still probably die, but it has come on beautifully and is a delight to see every year.
