St Andrew Church ~ Farnham.

St Andrew Church ~ Farnham.
Farnham, Surrey ~ In 2005–06, a conservation and development project uncovered the foundations of a 7th-century Saxon church. No written record of this church survives. The oldest record is in the Domesday Book of 1086, which states that the Manor of Farnham was held by the Bishop of Winchester, and that the church was 'richly endowed'. The oldest parts of the building date from the middle to the late 12th century, between 1150 and 1170.

Im amazed at these structures over there that have stood for so many many years. Im drawn to those spires pointing upward, and how the bricks are still "holding on"...nicely caught Rosa.

Hi Sarah, this church has undergone a lot of restoration in recent years. It seems they have to do their own fundraising apart from a little lottery funding. Pleased you like it. Regards, Rosa.

Beautiful capture Rosa, like the colours in the stonework of the impressive tower.
