eleven - music for me!
i'm so lucky.
every evening my multi-talented husband sings me a song or two. during the summer it's rock and roll from the 50's (with a little bit of any new compositions of his thrown in here and there). not always on the piano, sometimes on guitar and sometimes harmonica thrown in for good measure.

I'm honored that some people took the time to view all the 12 images I put together for the day (only one in the group of course).
Take your time and enjoy the commenting process! No rush.
peace.

Music is definitely mind enriching.
You might be interested to know that my husband is currently working on poetic translations (since you like Montaigne and music). He is translating Paul Verlaine's work 'In Solitary' www.instagram.com/poetlarrybeckett
He translated Apollinaire and did an album with Stuart Anthony with those translations:

We got to be on Mirabeau Bridge in June with Stuart! A great place to visit.
- and has just started translating Jacques Brel's lyrics. The only enlglish translations of Brel have been very far away from the original words. He has to get permission from the estate to use any translations he does, so he can't share them yet publically. Ne me quitte pas of course being the first one he translated.
Glad you like the photo. Thank you.
Belated congratulations to both of you, Laura!
raingirl club has replied to Eric Desjours clubYou can hear him play piano on this track (ignore the video - or at least, I do) from the band 'Eyelids' album that is all his lyrics: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrS5LPGDzoM&ab_channel=decorrecords
raingirl club has replied to Patricia Wildenraingirl club has replied to Blue rubber octopus clubraingirl club has replied to HelenaPF clubWe used to go to a sing-a-long with friends every month. Perhaps one day I will start that up again.
If you still have a piano, maybe you could create new music with straight fingers! I always think of Matisse painting from his bed with a very long brush.
I play the piano a little bit. These days I practice the flute more than piano. If we lived close, we could sing and play together!
Thank you for visiting my photos.
This June we are having a celebration of my mom's life which will basically be a big sing-along with some stories thrown in!
She so loved singing! It will be a great mix - from London Music Hall to Beatles to Johnny Mercer and more.
My brother will be playing guitar and my son, keyboard, with grandkids sometimes "leading". Can't wait! She would have loved every minute.
This coming Friday evening I'm hoping to attend a Middlebury community sing. Perhaps I can catch a photo of everyone!
raingirl club has replied to Deborah Lundbech clubWhat a lovely celebration you have planned. So thoughtful. Lots of musical styles is always a good thing.
You are inspiring. Maybe I can get sing-a-long my friends and I used to do back on track again.
Sing out!
