This tree was just half a block away from the house fire that was started by the lighting. It was struck while we where fighting the fire. The long strip is a piece of wood that was peeled back when the lightning went under the first layer of tree.

Tree that was struck by lighting during a storm. The lighting went down the tree and in the ground which found the grounding rod to the home which caught the AC unit on fire in the attic. We fought the fire in a downpour with lots of lighting.
