Beim Blitzschlag sind die Teile in einem weiteren Bereich verteilt. Die Wasserdampf-Explosion, die du richtig beschriebst, führt dazu, daß Holzsplitter (und die können durchaus 25+ kg haben) in einem weiteren Bereich verstreut sind.
Das Bild oben sihet mir eher danach aus, daß die Baumkone etwas asymmetrisch war und deshalb bei starkem Wind Dreh- und Druckeffekte sich überlagert haben und dann zu dem Aufsplittern des Stammes, aber ohne "Explosion" führten.
