Bunker Tower
The tower sits on the highest point in the state - 2407 feet above sea level. It was built of native stone by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934. Stairs inside lead to an obervation deck which provides a 360 degree view of the countryside. The tower was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 15, 1989. Cheaha State Park, Cleburne County, Alabama (IMG_3321)
