This used to be what we call a junk shop. It was the base for a house-clearance company. The majority of the houses they cleared were those of elderly people, so much of the stock reflected that. The new proprietors have moved up market, although they still are only just starting on the antiques trade ladder.
I like the sign-writer's nice wooden workbox.
