Thanks, Jan. I would have preferred it if some of the sheep had been closer. They are often on the slope at the left of the photo. But the light was good and the autumn reds added to the range of colours.

I guess that it means cattle and sheep on either side can get a drink. I think this pond gets its water from the hills, not from the tidal river, behind the camera.
