Sundial Clinic - Brighton - 1.1.2013
From a quick glance from the other side of the road, I thought this was a pub - possibly converted from a bank - judging by the classical portico. As it turns out, it is now a clinic for the treatment of back pain and other ailments. So it won't go in my pubs set!
This sort of building will never get listed, but it is so typical of commercial architecture for companies, like banks, that wanted an impressive look to their premises. I suppose it dates from the first half of the twentieth century. It would be a shame if all this, slightly over the top, design disappeared from our city centre streets.
