Thanks for posting Down On The Farm
Phil Sutters club has replied to JanPhil Sutters club has replied to Annemarie clubI had only just moved to this part of England and was beginning to appreciate the beauty of the South Downs. I grew up in another hilly part of the country - Mendip in Somerset. The hills there are more rounded, the valleys have steeper sides and you see things on a smaller scale. The Downs have a wider, flatter profile and you can see larger vistas.
In between I lived and worked in London, where the 'vista' can just be the width of a street!
