Seefalke at Bridgwater Docks 1960s

Seefalke at Bridgwater Docks 1960s
A one-off from the days when I had a camera with a larger format than 35mm. One for which film went out of production in the 1970s. I think it only took about 12 shots per roll.

Annemarie, SV1XV, Roger (Grisly), LutzP and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

This is an historic photo - for me at least - as it is the earliest photo that I took - or it is the earliest one that I can find.
So this is one I definitely haven't taken for HFF purposes!

Those were the times when boat did look like boats- lovely! The fence would't prevent anyone from falling in;-) HFF

The fence does look a bit weary, but when properly maintained it should have done the job. Very similar posts and chains were often used around the decks on ships.

Great historic photo! "Seefalke" seems a German boat!?

These old roll film images are historic indeed and, somehow, have a different feeling. HFF.

So I am historic now! I am very pleased to have a huge archive of photos taken by my father and other relatives, dating back into the 19th century. The bulk are family photos and railway ones.

Great old shot Phil. I love these old B&W pics. Here is one of mine from 1956: Auf dem Trocknen - High and dry - Neuharlingersiel 1956

A superb and historic photograph Phil
Interesting and fascinating, The warehouse is still in use but as a popular waterside pub , all the levels above the ground floor are flats.

The docks finally closed to shipping in 1971.
