a weed...
but a colorful one !
..located in Central Florida US
..is invasive
..the 'orange lantern' seems to be either a seed pod / fruit
..tropical / warm weather... dies off after autumn
..will grow anywhere in one's yard..
..digging roots out seems to slow progress, but if you miss one of those orange things.. tough !
..haven't seen birds or squirrels around them
..the leaf in the foreground belongs to this vine.. 5 lobes, I think
