I started off with visits to a couple of locations in Croydon - managed to squeeze onto the Almshouses tour as a result of a non-arrival. We were shown round by a resident and the Whitgift Foundation marketing manager. The tour was informative and comprehensive.

The Old Palace

Most of the Palace site today dates from the 15th and 16th century, but it is thought that there have been buildings here for a thousand years or more. This is now part of the Old Palace School, of the Whitgift Foundation.
