The original is actually very lightly hand tinted. Thats an art long lost.

Right about the hand tinting. It can't be reproduced digitally, at least not convincingly!

No it cant.... and it really was an art-form. I have another of me at about 4 years old and it is tinted by hand and even now it amazes me how it was done.

It i so nice to see this photograph of your mum Pam. She was a very pretty girl.
The light tinting of the photo interested me. I have just found pictures of my little brother and me from when we were very little and I remember it always stood on my mum's sideboard. The picture is hand coloured. I also found some pictures of my mum and dad and my grandparents from years back. Lovely to see but sad at the same time.
