UK trip 2012

London 2012

Folder: Great Britain
Another fabulous visit, in which I explored streetart in the East End, public sculpture, Brompton Cemetery, Fulham Palace, Chelsea, another section of the Regent's Canal, and some great art exhibitions. I also did a bit of yarnbombing while I was there. And I had a lovely time with wonderful people who joined me for these adventures.

Serpentine Pavilion 2012

14 Oct 2012 258
Designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei. It was impossible to get a good photo of the entire pavilion, as it's mostly underground, beneath the water-filled roof pool.

Brompton Cemetery North Gate

The West of London and Westminster Cemetery Company, as it was known, was established in 1836 and then opened in 1840 to the design of Benjamin Baud. Regarded as one of the finest Victorian Metropolitan cemeteries in the country, it has a formal layout with a central avenue leading to a chapel based on St Peter's Basilica in Rome. Amongst its shady walks are over 35,000 monuments - many of historical importance.
