The Coffin (mono mania week)

The Coffin (mono mania week)
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar (c. 1043 – 10 July 1099 otherwise known as El Cid remains a Spanish hero today; now known worldwide thanks to many literary works, poems, an opera, a film, and lately video/PC games, so I'll not describe his exploits here. He and his wife are buried in Burgos Catedral.

I was surprised by how small his coffin is (probably because I'd just viewed his statue, see PiP) but in those days most people were a lot smaller ...

El Cid.
Even for an expat Catalá, I will bow to His name and His person.
Congratulations, I duly respect his story as I do to your care and picture.
Thank you my Friend.
