The exterior of this kylix depicts a symposium scene with men of varying ages enjoying music from a lyre. On the inside of the kylix, a young man is shown reclining on a couch, lifting his drinking vessel, possibly playing a drinking game.
Provenance: By date unknown: Thomas G. Appleton Collection (purchased from Alessandro Castellani and said to be from Capua); gift of Thomas G. Appleton to MFA, 1876
