Mom's 1970's Angel Tree-Topper on Christmas, December 2007
G.E. called her the "Heavenly Angel" but she's more commonly referred to as "Scary Angel" or "Psycho Angel" in our family.
She's been on the top of every Christmas tree since at least 1974, when my parents got married.
But is she an antique? A fire hazard or both?
Strangely enough, my friend Krissy's family had the very same angel on top of their tree until a few years ago. Her family also has the Donny and Marie Osmond dolls (just like we did, but theirs are in MUCH better shape, since Donny was used like a Ken-doll, and was "married" to one of our Barbie dolls.) It makes one wonder if everyone had the same things in the '70s or if G.E. gave the angels away when newlyweds were buying their appliances? :)
