Dwarf
Creator: Greek (Artist)
Period: 2nd-1st century BC (Hellenistic)
Medium: cast bronze (Metal)
Accession Number: 54.1106
Measurements: H: 2 15/16 in. (7.5 cm)
The naked dwarf is running to the right while glancing backwards over his right shoulder. In his outstretched hands he holds a ring and a ribbon, both common attributes of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Two small holes in the top of his bald head reveal that some sort of attribute (a wreath?) was originally attached here.
