Alyogyne sp. Great Victoria Desert (D.J.Edinger 6212), PJL 2800
This plant matches Alyogyne pinoniana (Gaudich.) Fryxell var. microandra Fryxell but has larger flowers than in the Holotype. Note the size of the shrub in relation to the Austrostipa tussocks.
On eastern Eyre Peninsula, 26 Oct 2011. I consider that this is part of the same taxon as Alyogyne pinoniana var. microandra, but is best treated as distinct at species level both from A. pinoniana and from what in SA is currently called "A. huegelii".
