The X-4 was a German air-to-air missile developed in WW2. It was wire guided with a control wire up to four miles long. Only about 1,300 of these were made before the Allies bombed the factory.

This prototype supersonic bomber was conceived in the late 50s and flew in the mid-60s. The bomber development was cancelled due to the development of ICBMs and surface-to-air missile systems, but three were built to test aspects of supersonic flight. This is the only remaining plane of the three built.
