Chance would be a fine thing ;-)) Apart from the sign, which must have surely been there for years, it's a beautifully composed shot and superb detail in the fallen tree in full screen.

It's sunny here Keith, so hope the same for your :-))

The path nearby has been badly overgrown for years and can barely been seen and the signpost indicating it has been taken down. It's private land, so it's never been a public footpath, just what I think is called a permissive way. Glad you like the photo though Rosa and thanks for commenting.

It's been sunny, but a bit chilly all weekend.

I was going to add, that maybe there had been a pathway earlier on, which would have enabled people to cycle, but as you say - no chance of that happening nowadays with the condition of the land.

Thanks for commenting Jenny..........see my reply to Rosa (above) about the path. It would be impossible to cycle there even if it was allowed.

Non-polluting vehicles are not allowed to circulate here either. It is better to get used to the future that awaits us. Enjoy your Sunday ,Keith.

Keith Burton club has replied to Anton Cruz Carro club
This has always been private land Anton and there has been a lot of work going to fell damaged and diseased trees, and to replant the area with new trees. The path has long disappeared!

The estate that owns the forest has opened the vast majority of it to the public, so they're pretty good.
