A fine shot - I like the berry-laden tree and the light and shade on the path.
Thank you too for the notes. I had no previous knowledge of the Hilsea Lines. Gap now filled in!
Many thanks, Keith.

Blind summit:-) A well composed photo that makes the viewer curious to see what's behind there (and I certainly didn't expect miltary fortifications!).... I like the soft late summer colours!

Glad you like it Gudrun...............it's a fascinating place to walk round but unfortunately we had somewhere else to be and didn't have much time wander too far. Thanks for commenting.

It looks a very nice walk Keith. We used to ask my father to drive fast over a blind summit. I would love to take a run up at this one :-) Very good shot and when viewed large the berries that Andy mentions look great. Maybe you have a photo of over the hill?
Thank you for the link. Love to learn these things.

Ha, ha............you wouldn't want to drive over this blind summit Rosa............you'd end up in Hilsea Creek, which at low tide is very muddy and full of supermarket trollies and bike frames :-)))

Glad you like the photo and the link. Thanks as always for commenting.

Unfortunately we had somewhere else to be and could't hang about too long but it's quite a fascinating place. I saw a heron, cormorant and an egret.........but didn't have a long lens with me.

Have a good week.

Sounds a great place to go back to when you have more time. I'm sure you would capture some great shots of the birds....not the trollies & bike frames though!

Happy Tuesday.

Ein wunderbares Bild, das die Gedanken anregt. Der Betrachter versucht sich vorzustellen, wie es auf der anderen Seite wohl aussieht. Ein ausgezeichnetes Bild für das Kopfkino!
