Vintage Packaging
Taken inside an antiques centre in Wickham, Hampshire.
I couldn't find out much about most of this stuff, except that this vintage packing is a popular seller on the web.
Lutona - was made in the Co-op's cocoa processing plant in Luton from 1902. The factory was demolished in 1970, but I have no idea when the product ceased being sold.
Borwicks - was made in London from around 1844. As far as I know it is still being made in Rotherham, by Kerry Food.
Allinson - their baking yeast was introduced in 1892. The firm is still going today selling bread and baking products.
Orlox - I couldn't find any details, except that this packing was popular in the 1930's.
Best viewed large for more detail. Miss Orlox looks particularly lovely :-)
